James McIntosh

James, brother of Charles, was born in Glasgow in 1883, son of Mr Oliver Ross McIntosh and Mrs Jeanie Dick McIntosh of 331 Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow - latterly of Moy Lodge, Elmwood Avenue, Newton Mearns. Aged 14  James worked as a commercial clerk and was later 2nd Officer of S.S. "Cameronia." (Anchor Line ) before joining HMT Falmouth lll which  was a naval trawler. It struck a mine on 19 November 1915. and sank in the English Channel off Dover, Kent. James aged 32, was lost  along with six other members of the crew. He is buried in Noordwijk General Cemetery, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands - Grave reference D. 63 and also commemorated on the family gravestone in Mearns Cemetery.
